Case Study: Pumping up the brand

With more than 18,000 employees, the company is committed to instilling its brand and values throughout its footprint. Morningstar Communications helped Grundfos amplify this footprint through internal communications.

1Challenge

With several recently acquired locations throughout North America, Grundfos needed to boost employee morale and empower employees as brand ambassadors. The company planned a series of Branding Days. Grundfos turned to Morningstar Communications to extend the internal excitement and education beyond the one-day events.

2Solution

Morningstar Communications developed an internal newsletter tailored to each Branding Days location. To meet our next-day deadline for distribution, we created standing articles focused on key strategies. We then attended events in Houston, Chicago and Indianapolis, writing customized stories and working with local photographers to gain visual content.

3Results

The newsletter dropped the day after each event, reinforcing key themes and extending the event’s reach. Local photos and relevant stories with quotes from leadership and co-workers resonated with employees. Through Branding Days, Grundfos heightened employee morale, empowered employees to serve as brand ambassadors and leveraged the existing talent of its teams.
