I provide our clients with the right strategic approach and ensure we focus on driving their business results through high-quality execution and unmatched client service.
I graduated from the University of Denver and double majored in psychology and mass communications with an emphasis in public relations. I realized if I was communicating to people I needed to know how they think. My career encompasses working at agencies and on the corporate side in a wide variety of industries, including technology, banking, consumer products and telecommunications. Over the years, excellent editors helped me become a strong writer and through great mentors I’ve learned a lot about building successful teams, empowering people to do their best work, and providing guidance to clients and colleagues.
Morningstar Communications provides the opportunity to live an ideal work-life balance. My team and clients are incredible, and I feel fortunate to work with smart, fun people. Combining that with challenging and inspiring work means I really love what I do.
I believe success comes with an obligation to give back to those less fortunate. I’m passionate about giving back to the community, especially to causes that empower or inspire people to improve their own lives. I serve on the boards of Alphapointe and Nonprofit Connect.I belong to the Public Relations Society of America and serve as the University of Kansas chapter adviser. I’m an alumnus of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program and was named a Rising Star in Philanthropy in 2011 by Nonprofit Connect. In 2017, I was named one of the Kansas City Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business. In 2013, I was recognized as an Influential Woman by KC Business magazine.
When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two sons and our Australian Shepherd. My personal priority right now is raising two compassionate, respectful, loving boys who understand that life is full of opportunity - all they have to do is seize it. I love to golf, cook, travel and read. I think the power of laughter is often underrated, so you can expect me to crack an unexpected joke now and again.
